How do I get to Okavango Villa?
Okavango Villa is in Mohembo West, on the Okavango Delta in Botswana, 15 minutes from Shakawe Airport.
- Fly: Mack Air charter flight from Maun to Shakawe Airport, approx. 45 minutes.
- Shuttle: Quantum shuttle from Maun to Shakawe town, approx. 7 to 8 hours.
- Self-drive: car hire or your own vehicle from Maun on the tarred A35, approx. 5.5 hours.
- Airport transfers from Shakawe Airport (15 minutes) are available on request.
Can we have the whole villa to ourselves?
Yes. The entire villa can be booked exclusively for up to 8 guests across 4 rooms, with no other guests. Individual bed & breakfast rooms are also available.
What is included in each package?
- Bed & Breakfast (per room): breakfast and your choice of a sunrise or sunset cruise.
- Self-catering villa with chef, boat and guide (entire villa): boat with 25L fuel, an expert guide, and our villa chef, who cooks the groceries you bring.
- Self-catering villa (entire villa): self-catering only, with no boat, guide or excursions. A chef is available on request.
- Fully inclusive (per person): all meals and drinks provided by the villa, plus birdwatching, fishing and most activities and excursions.

Do we need to bring our own food?
Yes, unless you book the fully inclusive package, where all food and drinks are provided (let us know your preferred drinks before you arrive). Groceries and supplies are available in Shakawe. On the self-catering villa with chef, boat and guide package, our villa chef will prepare the food you bring.
Is there power and WiFi?
Yes. The villa has power and fast Starlink satellite WiFi.
Are children welcome?
Children of all ages are welcome. They can share their parents’ room or have their own room, at standard rates.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 and check-out is by 10:00. The minimum stay is 1 night.
What is the cancellation policy?
Cancellations must be made in writing by email. Cancellation fees apply from 4 weeks before arrival; see our Terms & Conditions for the full schedule.
How do I pay?
A 50% deposit within 72 hours secures your dates, and the balance is due 14 days before arrival. Payment is by EFT. Please contact us if you need an alternative payment method. All rates are in USD.
Are helicopter flights and day trips included?
Helicopter flights, Mahango Game Reserve, Tsodilo Hills and similar trips are run by trusted third-party operators at additional cost. We’ll arrange them for you and confirm current prices when you book. Mahango is across the border in Namibia, so bring your passport.
